Holiday Gites in Normandy

Page 8 – Why Choose Us?

We don’t like to blow our own trumpet, but with thousands of Gites to choose from in France, we think you will be reassured to know that previous guests have thoroughly enjoyed their stay with us, and even returned again.

Here are what a few of them had to say about their stay in 2007:-

“Thank you both so much for making such a great holiday for us to enjoy on our latest trip to France. It was just what we needed and we appreciated the wine, the flowers and the company and especially the effort you have put in to create a relaxing and pleasant place to stay.” D & L

“Wish we were still there. Thank you for providing a fantastic base for our holiday. I slept better there than I have for a long time. I will definitely recommend you to anybody who wants to come to France for a holiday.”
Y & J

:A quick note to say thank you for a great week, the weather was not important and it did not stop us doing the things we wanted to do. It was good to spend some quality time together and so much nicer than being in a hotel.” C & G

What made their holidays so enjoyable? Obviously the beautiful scenery and places to visit but also, we think, because we make an effort to ensure the Gites are really comfortable.

The beds are king-size and very comfortable – we have been told so. The bed linen is of the best quality – cotton percale. Soft towels are provided. All the furniture is of a good quality.

Then we provide the basics like toilet rolls, washing-up liquid, tea towels etc. And of course all the Gites are cleaned thoroughly before every arrival.

If you are arriving late and need some groceries, then we will be happy to get some basic provisions for you. And if you want a day off from exploring the area, we can provide the equipment for a game of badminton or boules in the garden.

Finally, we try to be good hosts – there if you want us and unobtrusive when you don’t! You can be assured of a friendly welcome.

Coming in the future at Les Hirondelles - 2009

If you are considering us for next year, we are planning some special events like an Estate Agents’ day, where we will invite a local Estate Agent (Immobilier) and Lawyer (Notaire) to come to talk to our guests about the buying process in France. Also, French Lessons a couple of mornings a week with our French Professor. And a Barbecue/Dinner Night so you don’t have to cook.
