Holiday Gites in Normandy

Spring and Autumn Breaks/ Special Offers

We want to encourage people to visit Normandy in the Spring months of April and May, and in the Autumn when October is usually still pleasant and warm.

April and May are often very nice (we had a heatwave in May a couple of years ago) - comparable to the South Coast of England.  And of course you can explore the many interesting places we have here in Normandy without the hassle of the summer crowds.

Anyone who has visited Mont Saint Michel in the height of summer, unless having taken our advice to go early morning or late afternoon, will really appreciate the much more relaxed tour of the Abbey and winding pathways when it is not heaving with coachloads of tourists!  It really makes a huge difference to the experience, to be able to see all of the fascinating architecture.

The local towns are much quieter, but market days are still bustling with the locals.  Restaurants and cafes are quicker to serve you, and of course there is less traffic on the roads than in July and August.  Although traffic is one thing you dont have to worry about in Normandy!  The roads are a delight.  And of course the ferry crossings are that much cheaper.

Early Booking Discount

If you book a week's stay for April or May 2010, by the end of December 2009, we will give you a discount of 10& off the advertised price.

Short breaks in April and May

Subject to availability, we can often offer Short Breaks as an alternative to a full holiday.  Calculate the cost of these at £45 per night, so £135 for a three night stay and £180 for four nights.
