Normandie and Impressionism
A four-month Festivalto celebrate the work of the Impressionist movement begins on 5 June at Rouen. Events are planned throughout Normandie during the Summer. For full details see the official site at www.normandie-impressionniste.fr
Spring Opening of the Musée de Giverny (formerly the American Art Museum)
In spring 2009, the American Art Museum in Giverny will be replaced by the Musée de Giverny. This new museum will focus on highlighting the international nature of the Impressionist movement and, in particular, the communities of Giverny and the Seine Valley.The museum will open its doors daily in 2009 with an exhibition on the Garden of Claude Monet (see exhibitions section below).

New video-guide in English for Sainte-Mère-Eglise and Utah Beach
The video-guide will give visitors the opportunity to see photos, maps and diagrams at every point of interest during their visit.
New ‘Swing’ at AJ Hackett La Soulevre Viaduct
Take to the skies at 120km per hour in this new harnessed, pendulum swing across the viaduct which opened mid-2008 at the AJ Hackett outdoor activity centre.
